Position Summary

As an Instructor, you will be a passionate and outgoing individual who will positively impact the community by creating a welcoming environment for our students and families. Candidates will be trained to provide effective and concise math instruction. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by creating an engaging, positive and productive learning environment while establishing a high level of confidence and program value.

Instructors will assist in evaluating and tracking the progress of each student through effective communication with the Center Manager and staff, as well as perform operational functions as required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students
  • Teach in‑person, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
  • Assess students’ progress throughout instructional sessions and ensure students are focused, not distracting others, and have been checked on regularly
  • Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
  • Mentor, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
  • Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
  • Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment
  • Assist with non‑teaching/instructional tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • A passion for math and working with students
  • Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
  • Willingness to learn and be trained
Compensation

$13 to $17 hourly rate. Pay will vary based on experience and education.
