The Opportunity:We are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal and systemic autoimmune diseases. Schedule would be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. This role offers the chance to build a strong patient panel, collaborate with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our community.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive rheumatological care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term management of patients with rheumatic conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab results, imaging).
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and referrals to other specialists as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
- Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, other specialists, and support staff.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Rheumatology.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
- DEA registration.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current rheumatology practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
