Responsibilities
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as may be required by the department director or supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

The LPN places the resident first, creating a home‑like environment and modeling person‑centered care.

• Graduate of an approved LPN program
• Current license to practice as an LPN in the state
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and regulations governing long‑term care
• Previous geriatric nursing/long‑term care experience is a plus
• I.V. certification is a plus
