Salary: $28.00 – $35.00/hour

Job Summary

The LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for implementing the plan of care for each Sister, providing high-quality clinical services, and supervising CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty. This role requires leadership, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care focused on wellness, comfort, and dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to professional nursing standards and departmental policies.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes.
  • Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs to ensure thorough and compassionate care.
  • Assist Sisters with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and end-of-life care practices.
  • Coordinate and accompany Sisters to medical appointments and therapies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to the Clinical Manager.
  • Participate in staff orientation, training, and continuing education.
  • Support Activities and Enrichment programming for Sisters.
Qualifications Required
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid state license.
  • 2+ years of experience in nursing, preferably with geriatric or dementia care.
  • Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in healthcare or residential care settings.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Use of proper body mechanics and safety equipment for resident care.
