Overview
Seiler Precision Manufacturing in St. Louis is seeking an innovative, highly skilled CNC Programmer with a minimum of 10 years of CNC programming experience focused on 4- and 5-axis milling for complex, tight-tolerance components. This role supports defense and aerospace programs and requires expert-level Mastercam and Solid Works proficiency, including demonstrated capability in simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths and advanced milling strategies. Candidates must possess a strong command of GD&T, along with deep knowledge of modern machining practices, tooling, work holding, and process optimization.

- Program complex aerospace and defense components for multi-axis machining, with emphasis on advanced 5-axis milling strategies, tight tolerances, and challenging geometries.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using modern CAM software (Mastercam).
- Design and validate effective work holding and fixturing solutions for high-precision production, prototype runs, and multi-operation machining.
- Collaborate directly with machinists, engineers, and leadership to improve cycle times, tool life, quality, and process stability.
- Create, maintain, and update detailed setup sheets and machining work instructions to support repeatable, high-quality processes.
- Support introduction of new technologies—including machine upgrades, tooling advancements, probing/inspection strategies, and automation systems.
- Minimum 10 years of CNC programming experience with a strong focus on 4- and 5-axis milling for complex, tight-tolerance components.
- Expert-level Mastercam experience required, including simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths.
- Proficiency in Solid Works.
- Proven ability to design, validate, and optimize fixtures, tooling strategies, work holding, and setup plans for multi-axis machining.
- Thorough knowledge of materials and machining characteristics (aluminum, steels, stainless, titanium, nickel alloys, etc.).
- Experience collaborating on process optimization, cycle time reduction, tool life improvement, and setup efficiency.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-axis machining issues and support machinists on the shop floor.
