Associate Director of Student Ministry (Female)

The Associate Director of Student Ministry (female role; full-time) helps realize Greentree Community Church's vision by fostering the growth of students in Christlikeness through effective people and program development. This role reports to the Director of Student Ministry, and the initial priority for this position is to provide discipleship, leadership, and relational connection for the female students within Greentree’s student ministry through small groups, contact meetings, teaching, programming, and other opportunities.

- Develop and cultivate discipleship relationships with believing students (with special focus on female students in small group gatherings, 1-1s, and other out-of-church settings).
- Foster a community that is welcoming to all students and that is outward facing to reach students who are also outside of the ministry.
- Help foster a culture where students serve those inside & outside the ministry.
- Prioritize relationships with students’ families and their role in students’ growth & maturity.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating the ministry’s vision, mission, and programming.
- Collaborate in all long-term & short-term planning and programing efforts.
- Participate in the student ministry’s programing efforts, including:
- Weekly Youth Group gatherings (Sunday School, youth group nights)
- Special Events, Retreats, Camps, Service Projects, and Mission Trips
- Provide leadership and excitement in the ministry’s teaching and small group programs, including regularly teaching in these settings and leading small groups.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with staff, students, families, and volunteers.
- Coordinate with other GTCC ministries and staff to enhance fruitfulness and effectiveness.
- Room for this role to expand in areas suited to the candidate’s giftedness (ex: worship leading, additional contact meetings, graphic design or communications, etc.)
Requirements:
- Follower of Christ committed to the Church with a passion for reaching 6-12th grade students with the Good News of Jesus.
- Strong relationship-building skills and organizationally minded.
- People-oriented, engaging, and able to form relationships with many different types of people.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Musically gifted;
Has experience building and leading teams;
Experience in volunteer recruitment.
