Position Overview

Teacher of Maths (17.5 hours per week, 0.5

FTE, Permanent) at Kirkwall Grammar School.

KGS is a modern, vibrant school of over 850 pupils with a catchment area covering Kirkwall, East Mainland, Orphir, and the North Isles.

Responsibilities

Teach all aspects of Maths across all stages and participate in department and school‑wide initiatives. Provide leadership as required, supporting improvement and excellence.

Qualifications

Registered or in the process of registering with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
Successful completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG.

Salary & Benefits

Salary based on the Main Grade Scale of the SNCT Salary Tables plus Distant Islands Allowance. Generous relocation package, interview and relocation expenses covered.
