Approximately 40 deliveries

Provides comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Basic nursing care and specialized OB/L&D documentation
• Fetal monitoring, OB triage, labor management, and emergency OB/transfer care
• Cesarean recovery, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, routine and special care nursery, and breastfeeding support
• Emergent care including postpartum hemorrhage, severe maternal hypertension, prolapsed cord, and shoulder dystocia
• Antepartum skills: multiple gestations, diabetes, fetal demise, external version assistance, magnesium sulfate administration, and triage of scheduled/unscheduled patients
• Intrapartum skills: vaginal exams, oxytocin administration, promotion of vaginal delivery through psychoprophylaxis and positioning, circulating vaginal delivery, TOLAC care, blood administration, cesarean recovery
• Neonatal skills: IV therapy, CPAP management, circumcision assistance, breastfeeding support

• Minimum 2+ years L&D, Nursery, or OB experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring completion required
• May float to other hospital units as needed (ED, Med-Surg, CCU, Lab, OP Surgery)
• Spanish and/or French language skills preferred

• Strong communication and relationship skills
• Ability to multitask and respond confidently to emergencies
• Critical thinking and teaching ability
