- Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards and physician certification.
- Follow the Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and report any changes.
- Adhere to the State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Verify the Plan of Care before each visit and provide care according to physician orders and assessment data.
- Incorporate patient care goals from the Plan of Care into therapy care.
- Instruct patients and families on safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.).
- Teach the patient and/or caregiver the therapy home program.
- Work in a physically demanding, high‑stress environment.
- Handle, lift, and transfer patients, requiring full range of body motion.
- Work irregular hours, including call hours if applicable.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of work.
- 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
- Willing and able to travel within the coverage area and 50% of the territory.
- Dependent vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently and lift 50–100 lbs.
You will report to the Branch Director, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or designee.
