** Key Responsibilities
*** Build therapeutic relationships to support recovery and resilience.
* Collaborate with individuals to create personalized treatment plans.
* Maintain communication with referral sources, guardians, and care teams.
* Assist clients in accessing medical and community-based services.
* Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments when appropriate.
* Facilitate group education sessions and offer crisis intervention.
* Document services in compliance with state and CARF standards.
* Support clients in making independent choices and achieving recovery goals.
* Encourage healthy, productive, and sober lifestyles.
* Mentor, advocate, and coach individuals through their recovery journey.
* Uphold ethical and confidentiality standards.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and required training.
** Qualifications
* ** Must self-identify as a current or former recipient of mental health and/or substance use services, or as a person in recovery.
* Minimum one year of direct personal experience with the mental health system.
* Willingness to complete a state-approved Certified Peer Support training program within six months of hire.
* Must meet standards for CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) or CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist).
* Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* Minimum one (1) year of sustained recovery.
