What You’ll Be Doing
As a Pipe Welder, you’ll be at the heart of creating and maintaining high-quality engineering projects:
* Comply with site-specific and industry welding codes and standards (e.g., BSEN, ASME, AWS)
* Review technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
* Measure, cut, and prepare pipework using saws, torches, and pipe cutters
* Perform TIG welding on schedule wall pipework and Tru-Bore thin wall pipework of varying sizes
* Purge pipework in line with safety and quality procedures
* Ensure welds meet exact quality standards, including pressure and integrity testing
* Fit and tack weld pipe sections before final welding
* Repair or rework defective welds as required
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in pipe welding or a similar role
* Proficiency in multiple welding techniques
* Strong understanding of pipe materials and welding codes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
* Welding certification (e.g., BSEN, ASME, AWS) preferred
