Position: Quality Inspector (Contract)

6-month contract (extension possibility)
Based in Huddersfield
£350 - £400 per day

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team on an initial 6-month contract, based in Huddersfield. This is a hands-on, site-focused role.
The position is ideally suited to a technically strong quality professional with a background in civil engineering or construction, rather than a supervisory or management-focused role. Candidates should have at least a couple of years' experience working as a Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, or in a similar technical quality role.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out quality inspections across active project sites
Inspecting works including concrete, steel works, and earthworks to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
Reviewing and analysing technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
Producing clear, accurate inspection reports, highlighting non-conformances, required changes, and opportunities for improvement
Liaising with site teams and providing clear, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
Supporting the project team in maintaining high quality and compliance standards
Requirements:

Proven experience in concrete, steel works, and earthworks
Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
Good knowledge of relevant industry standards and quality procedures
Confident report writing and documentation skills
Computer literate, with experience using standard reporting and office software
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams
Additional Information:

Access to a car is essential, as the role involves visiting local project sites within approximately a 5-mile radius
