• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
• Experience with system design and distributed systems.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

The team provides a managed SQL Server offering, one of the fast growing database offerings within Cloud SQL. The team manages all aspects of database service implementations, which includes high availability, backups, database point of time recovery, performance improvements, integration with Google Cloud Ecosystems, and growing the customer base with our premium enterprise offering.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $248,000‑$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
