• Oversees the operation, organization, and flow of recipients through the unit, including delegating nursing assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Intervention and de-escalation of potentially aggressive situations.
• Assists with training and orientation of new staff and oversees assigned duties and documentation to meet applicable standards (JCAHO/OMFL).
• Ensure RN/LPN coverage for shifts; report coverage gaps to Nurse Manager; ensure staff trainings are completed.
• Utilize de-escalation procedures and theories to provide a safe milieu; review seclusion/restraint packets and assist with corrections.
• Complete reviews and audits of staff documentation for compliance with standards (JCHAO/OMFL).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.
• At least 3-5 years of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience.
• At least 1-2 years of managerial experience.
• Unrestricted RN license through the Washington State Board of Nursing or multistate licensure.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Ability to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Complete credentialing requirements within the required time, including NPI, Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and other credentials as required.
• Company vaccination policy compliance or approved exemption.

• Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience.
• Familiarity with Court-Ordered Treatment processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Compensation:
The typical hiring range for this role in Washington is $61.50 – $71.00 per hour.
