This role supports and advances business systems consisting of Windows and SQL Server database environments, focusing on reliability, performance, security, and automation. The position collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with operational needs and production workflows. It also supports cloud modernization initiatives and scalable, secure technology platforms.

This role will document applications and database requirements, define objectives, and create detailed specifications for configuration, implementation, and lifecycle management. It includes developing disaster recovery strategies for backup, recovery, security, and scalability.

• Serve as a key stakeholder in business systems resilience by ensuring high availability, disaster readiness, and secure architecture across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with operational needs, production schedules, and long-term objectives.
• Contribute to cloud modernization and infrastructure transformation by evaluating technologies, recommending improvements, and supporting platform evolution.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting for Windows & SQL Server database environments to ensure performance, reliability, and continuity of business-critical operations.
• Manage, configure, and optimize SQL Server instances, including backups, restorations, DR, and performance tuning.
• Develop and implement Windows & database security protocols to safeguard data and strengthen enterprise risk posture.
• Perform Windows & SQL Server upgrades, updates, and patching to keep systems secure and aligned with business needs.
• Write and maintain Power Shell & T-SQL scripts to automate tasks and enhance reliability.
• Oversee administration and deployment of Data Warehouses, Azure Data Services, Power BI, and SSRS to support reporting and cloud modernization.
• Support code changes and promote database updates using Source Code Management tools for consistency and stability.
• Design and execute disaster recovery plans to protect systems and minimize downtime.
• Mentor helpdesk staff and junior administrators, strengthening team capability and operational maturity.
• Ensure systems comply with federal/state laws and corporate IT policies.
• Meet attendance guidelines and complete required training within established time frames.
• Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• 4+ years of Windows Server Administration experience.
• 4+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience.
• Experience in architecture, design, planning, and execution of SQL Server infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing Data Warehouses, Azure Data Services, Power BI, and SSRS.
• Experience in website and application support.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL backups, recovery, high availability, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and Power Shell for automation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Source Code Management Systems.
• Change management experience is desirable; IT implementation experience at departmental/corporate level is desirable.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional partners.
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, clients, and partners is desirable.

• Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements as a US Person.
• Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug test including cannabis screening.

• Salary Range: $94,208 - $141,313 per year. (Mid-point: $117,760). Final amount based on experience, certifications, and market conditions.
