Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 A.M.

Our Housekeeping Team takes pride in maintaining a spotless home for our residents. You are able to learn our residents life stories as they share memories of cherished items and photographs while you are cleaning their home. Our Housekeepers feel good knowing they have done a good job, but it feels even better when residents tell them how much they appreciate their hard work.
Job SummaryJob Summary
Performs housekeeping tasks and follows daily work assignments and established housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents.

- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established housekeeping procedures
- Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
- Follow established infection control practices and safety precautions
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas
- Clean bathrooms, windows, floors, carpets, walls and ceilings as instructed
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, and disinfect designated surfaces
- Discard waste and relinen trash receptacles as needed
- Report hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor
- Keep equipment, tools, and supplies stored properly; maintain inventory of supplies
- Report burned-out lights and other maintenance needs
- Perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred
- Follow fire-safety policies and procedures
- Assist others in lifting heavy equipment or supplies as directed
- Report all accidents/incidents to the supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of resident-care information and respect resident property
- Attend departmental and staff meetings

High school diploma or GED preferred - Experience:
One year experience in a health care facility preferred - Job knowledge:
Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow instructions; communicate tactfully; use cleaning supplies and equipment correctly - Standards:
Health Department standards - Team members scheduled to work 24+ hours per week are eligible for benefits
