Mental Health Technician

Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in the 1930’s, is a leading behavioral health provider in the Greater Puget Sound area. We offer inpatient and outpatient services that provide evidence-based treatment and compassionate care for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

Mental Health Technician (MHT) – Full Time & Part Time – Variety of shifts available. Opportunity to provide direct patient care, support treatment team, de‑escalate behaviors, build rapport, and assist with milieu management under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision for adolescent patients.
• Assist with group activities and milieu management.
• Model professional behavior and collaborate with treatment team.
• Support de‑escalation techniques and maintain a safe environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred degree in social work, recreational therapy or related discipline.
• Two (2) years of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques.
• CPR, 1st Aid, Handle with Care and Verbal De‑Escalation Certifications required.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
