Sonographer II-Breast Ultrasound

Wage Range: $49.57 - $82.68 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:
u2022 The Sonographer Level II, in the Breast Ultrasound department, is accomplished in two or more of the following general applications: breast, abdominal, OB and GYN.. Performs breast ultrasound examinations, assists with ultrasound guided interventional procedures in the breast (including US guided core biopsies, aspirations and wire localizations) and presents the findings to the interpreting radiologist on the level appropriate with the ARDMS level II Sonographer.

Primary Duties:
1. Performs basic and targeted breast ultrasound examinations.
2.Analyzes patientu
2019s general body configuration to determine the most acceptable examination approach
3.Assists with introduction or placement and the application of various ultrasound transducers.
4.Assists the radiologist with introduction or placement of needles designed for biopsy.
5.Provides portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
6.Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or

Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:
1. ARDMS-eligible or ARRT-eligible by date of hire. ARDMS-certified in Breast Imaging (BR) or ARRT Breast Sonographer (BS) at a minimum by one year of employment.
2. Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Program.
3. Accomplished in two or more of the following general applications: breast, abdominal, OB, GYN, small parts, and neurosonology.
4. Training specific to the operation and use of Ultrasound scanners
5. Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

DESIRED for the position:
