The Supervisor, Social Services - Licensed is responsible for overseeing, managing, and training to enhance the skills of both supervisors and supervises at Connections Kirkland. Under the direction and supervision of the Social Services Manager this position oversees the supervision of the Social Services team. This position supports the oversight and documentation requirements in providing clinical supervision for facility staff.
- With support and guidance from the Social Services Manager and other clinical leadership, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of assigned social services staff.
- Conducts monthly supervision of frontline staff, focusing on training, development, and operational procedures.
- Provides individual and group clinical supervision to staff seeking documented supervision hours.
- Responsible for onboarding and training new hires under their supervision, including completing the 90-day Competency Checklists.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team to engage, monitor, and communicate with individuals, ensuring safety is maintained while meeting their needs.
- Participates in ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve competency.
- Reviews and signs off on assessments for non-licensed staff in assigned programs to ensure compliance with required time frames.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
This role must hold an active Washington State-approved independent clinical license (e.g., Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)) and meet Washington Administrative Code (WAC) requirements to provide supervisory services to licensed candidates seeking independent licensure. Additionally, the position must meet the qualifications required to provide supervision to Substance Use Disorder Professional-Trainees (SUDP-T) and adhere to other State of Washington credentialing requirements for clinical supervision.
QualificationsWhat You'll Bring:
- Dual licensed as SUDP and LMHC or LICSW by the Washington State Department of Health
- Master’s Degree in a behavioral health related field
- Completes declaration of supervision before providing and qualifying to provide supervision
- Complete 15 hours of training in supervision
- Meets required WAC requirements to provide supervision
- Meet requirements for Substance Use Disorder Professional
- Experience in an inpatient or crisis healthcare setting field
- 5 years of behavioral health or relevant experience
