Behavioral Health Specialist – Kirkland, WA (FT Days)

Connections Health Solutions is a leading provider of immediate‑access behavioral health crisis care. We combine medical and recovery‑oriented treatment to stabilize individuals in crisis.

Shift Differentials: $2/hr Monday‑Thursday Nights, $3/hr Friday‑Sunday Nights, $2/hr Saturday‑Sunday Days.

• Conduct security screening and orient patients to the Observation Unit and Short‑Term Inpatient Unit.
• Educate patients on rights under ADHS regulations, grievance process, and facility rules.
• Use therapeutic techniques to de‑escalate escalated individuals and perform restraints or seclusions when needed.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Document vitals, BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests in the EHR.
• Attend court‑ordered hearings and be available to provide testimony when subpoenaed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and assigned unit, perform light cleaning, collect soiled linen, and launder clothing as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of behavioral health or relevant experience.
• Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to perform Safe Clinch restraint techniques.
• Full vaccination per company policy; documentation required.
• Complete all credentialing requirements, including NPI, Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and other necessary credentials.
• Obtain Washington State Food Handler's Card (BHS and RSS positions).

• Certified training in Safe Clinch or therapeutic options.
• Completion of CNA or Patient Care Tech program.
• Completion of BHT certification.
