Intake Clinician - NOC Shift

Position Summary

Fairfax Behavioral Health is seeking a Master’s Level Intake Clinician for our Assessment team located in Kirkland, WA. The intake team operates 24/7 handling referrals from hospitals, DCRs, and providers for our Kirkland, Everett and Monroe campuses. Intake clinicians and nurses assist callers from across the state with inquiries into our services for both mental health and substance use concerns.

Position:
Tuesday-Thursday 11pm-7am. Full-time; weekend shifts required.

• Handle referrals from hospitals, DCRs, and providers 24/7.
• Conduct clinical assessments and intake evaluations over the phone.
• Build rapport quickly with callers, referral sources, potential patients, and callers concerned about a loved one.
• Work independently and collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team as needed; communicate professionally across departments.
• Complete required training upon hire: CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De‑escalation.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in social work or a mental health related field.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one (1) year’s experience in social work or a mental health setting. Familiarity with WA state mental health system preferred.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Active WA State License (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT – associate’s licenses accepted). Must be able to complete CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De‑escalation trainings upon hire.
