FAIRFAX Behavioral Health (a UHS facility) was founded in 1930 and is a private, free‑standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. The facility strives to meet the needs of its community by offering a continuum of care and evidence‑based programs at multiple locations in Washington, including Kirkland, Everett, and Monroe. Our mission is to provide outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment programs with successful outcomes.
PositionSummary
The Clinical Therapist – Adult Outpatient role provides therapeutic services that support patients’ psychosocial needs and help them achieve optimal emotional health. Core duties include treatment planning, psycho‑social assessment, psycho‑education, short‑term supportive family and individual therapy, group therapy, discharge planning, and liaison with community resources, while ensuring fidelity of program implementation using evidence‑based practices.
Responsibilities- Facilitate treatment planning and psycho‑social assessment.
- Deliver psycho‑education and individual or family therapy.
- Conduct group therapy and discharge planning.
- Coordinate with community resources and maintain program fidelity.
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work preferred; a degree in a mental health field is required.
Licensure: Current Washington State Licensure (Associate or Full). Masters Level with Agency Affiliated Counselor Licensure may be considered.
Requirements- Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De‑Escalation certifications provided by the facility upon hire.
- Preferred two (2) years post‑Master’s experience in a psychiatric health‑care setting.
- Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
- Managing a caseload of up to 14 clients.
- Community relations, group presentation, group facilitation, group adaptation, and curriculum development.
