Hospitalist / Medical NP - Behavioral Health Setting - Kirkland, WA
UHS Behavioral Health in Kirkland, WA seeks a qualified NP/PA for a behavioral health setting.
About the RoleNP/FNP opportunity in a full‑service behavioral health organization with campuses in Kirkland, Everett, Monroe, and an outpatient facility in Bellevue.
- Kirkland Campus – 157‑bed standalone psychiatric hospital offering a full continuum of care.
- Everett Campus – 30‑bed adult psychiatric facility at Providence Medical Center’s Pacific Campus.
- Monroe Campus – 34‑bed facility at Evergreen Health in Monroe.
- Bellevue Outpatient – outpatient services.
- Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow‑ups, and patient discharges.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans addressing mental health and medical issues.
- Co‑manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay alongside psychiatrists and other mental health providers.
- Provide medical education to patients and families regarding medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications impacting overall health.
- Provide medical consults as needed in General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.
- Manageable caseload – average 15 patients per day.
- Flexible schedule: generally Monday‑Friday day shifts.
- Once a month weekend rounding; once a week evening call coverage by phone only.
- NP degree from an accredited program.
- Current Washington APRN license in good standing.
- 3+ years of prior NP/PA clinical experience (rotations and preceptor hours not included).
- Credentialing to meet all provider criteria at UHS.
- Clinical experience in behavioral health highly preferred.
- Salary range: $140,000‑$170,000.
