Construction Manager 2
The Construction Manager 2 plays a pivotal role in supporting project documentation compliance and field coordination activities to ensure predictable delivery across safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance. This position involves close collaboration with construction managers, design teams, contractors, and program leadership to maintain project controls, track progress, and streamline communication for successful program execution.
Responsibilities- Manage project documentation, including closeout documentation, compliance records, and reporting to ensure alignment with program controls.
- Support submissions and scheduling for datacenter access control, blackout, and stop-work tracking.
- Assist with procurement tasks, including scope development, bid coordination, and vendor reviews.
- Coordinate internal meetings to facilitate updates on critical project controls aspects such as schedules, status updates, and documentation gathering.
- Attend local operations metro meetings and facilitate project and program updates.
- Support new hire onboarding to facilitate learning and immersion into program resources and processes.
- Attend site walks for progress verification, quality observations, equipment submittals, and invoice review support.
- Support onsite construction manager with logistics plan reviews, safety plan coordination, project meetings, material tracking, and field monitoring.
- Participate in strategic coordination and planning meetings for project development.
- Prepare executive‑ready project reports, status updates, and clear leadership communications.
- Assist in meeting preparation, note‑taking, and action tracking.
- Maintain strong working relationships with design teams, consultants, contractors, and program leadership.
- Document lessons learned and recommended practices to drive consistency across teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, cost management, and quality control.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Teams, One Note, and PMIS tools such as Procore.
- 2‑5 years of experience in construction coordination or field engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with datacenter or industrial/mission‑critical projects.
- Experience with retrofit projects.
The position is 100% onsite in Quincy, WA, with a daily schedule of 40 hours per week, and occasional in‑person meetings upon approval. The role primarily involves working on retrofit projects.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
