Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Manufacturing CAD Engineer to transform complex product designs into high‑precision, production‑ready documentation and custom tooling. You will serve as the vital link between design and the shop floor, ensuring every drawing and BOM meets rigorous GD&T standards while collaborating across teams to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, CATIA)
- Translate product designs into manufacturing‑ready documentation
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing drawings
- Develop and maintain custom fixture designs
- Ensure drawings meet company standards, tolerances, and GD&T requirements
- Support production by troubleshooting design and manufacturing issues
- Implement design revisions based on engineering changes or process improvements
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize cost and efficiency
- Support prototype development and testing activities
Maintain engineering documentation and version control - Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of CAD design experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, injection molding, etc.)
- Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Experience creating and managing BOMsStrong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Experience with ERP or PLM systems
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma familiarity
- Experience with prototype builds and production support

WHAT WE OFFERThe pay range for this position is $104,030 - $155,839 annually.
