The four mission components guide the development of curriculum as well as the evolution of the EPS culture. Founded in 2002, Eastside Prep was re‑accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) in January 2019. Eastside Prep has grown from 17 students in to a projected total of 540 students for academic year.
Position Summary:Teaches English courses to Middle School (grades 5 to
8) students, collaborates with other members of the English Discipline to enhance teaching effectiveness, and to revise curriculum as needed. Reports to the Middle School head.
All full‑time teachers work as part of a teaching team to create an inquiry‑based interdisciplinary program in which the academic disciplines are taught as systems and methods of thinking about significant content. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, assessment, communication with parents, collaborative work with colleagues, and general engagement with the entire school.

Experience:
- Minimum of three years teaching in the discipline or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
