Job Goal

To enable each student, through safe and efficient instruction, to take full advantage of the complete range of curricular and extracurricular activities offered by the district's schools.

Salary

$150 per day

Performance Responsibilities
  • Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
  • Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, projects, and communicating them to students.
  • Employ instructional methods and materials that are appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
  • Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.
  • Advocate for struggling students, seeking assistance from district specialists when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, students, and/or parents regularly.
  • Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct; develop reasonable classroom behavior/routine rules, and maintain fair and just order.
  • Plan and supervise assignments for paraprofessionals and volunteers, evaluating their performance.
  • Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Attend staff meetings, PLC meetings, and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor when dealing with school personnel and the public.
Terms of Employment

7:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
