Overview
We are looking for a motivated Upper Limb Specialist Nurse to join our NHS Fife Elective Orthopaedic Outpatient nursing team in the new, state of the art, purpose built Orthopaedic centre. This post will suit an enthusiastic nurse who would like to develop specialist upper limb Orthopaedic skills. We are looking for a caring and compassionate nurse to provide exceptional pre and post operative care to our patients.

- Deliver nurse-led clinics for elective and fracture/trauma outpatients as part of the Upper Limb Specialist Nursing Team.
- Provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care to patients.
- Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Utilise experience in complex wound care/management and perform patient history taking and assessment where applicable.
- Work flexibly as a member of the team and liaise with staff in other clinical areas when required.
- Travel to Queen Margaret Hospital as required.
- Qualified nurse with an interest in upper limb Orthopaedics and a willingness to develop specialist skills.
- Experience of complex wound care/management and patient assessment is advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- From 1/4/2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week; part-time hours will be pro-rated. The pay scale in this advert will not change as a result.
