Housekeeper, Healthcare

Overview

Ward 53 is a busy 24 bedded Respiratory Ward and are currently seeking a Housekeeper to complement our existing team.

• Maintain a very high standard of cleaning and organisation of the ward environment.
• Manage stock, control equipment and actively support mealtimes.
• Carry out clerical and clinical duties to support the nursing team in the delivery of care to patients and perform other general duties as required.

• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of infection control and basic IT skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment.
• Organisational skills and a methodical approach with a patient-centred focus.
• Becomes a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom (legal requirement). Pre-employment checks may include entitlement to work verification.

• The successful candidate will be expected to work over 3 days, Monday – Friday, alternating with another ward housekeeper.
• Please note this post may close early due to anticipated levels of applicants.
• From 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata; pay will be adjusted accordingly.
