We are now looking for a proactive and collaborative Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team and play a key role in shaping financial decision making across the business.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, we are looking for someone to join us from June 2026.
Role SummaryThis is a highly visible and influential role, partnering closely with senior leaders, department heads, and project teams. You’ll bring financial expertise, strong analytical capability and excellent communication skills to support budgeting, forecasting, modelling and strategic planning.
Within finance you will bring mentorship - driving continuous improvement, including automation, process optimisation, and improved BI/reporting capabilities within the finance function.
What you’ll be doing- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process for your designated business areas, ensuring alignment with long term strategic plans.
- Engaging with business stakeholders on monthly performance, to deliver clear, insightful variance analysis, and capture financial risks and opportunities.
- Collaborating on finance transformation initiatives to improve automation and enhance BI reporting tools.
- Developing robust financial models and KPI reporting to track business performance and inform decision making.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling to support business cases, investments and strategic projects.
- Partnering with other departments to ensure financial strategies remain aligned with business objectives.
- Supporting preparation of the annual long term business plan alongside the Senior Finance Business Partner.
You’ll be a motivated and commercially minded qualified accountant, able to build strong relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex financial insights in an accessible way.
What you’ll bring Qualifications- ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, with relevant post qualified experience.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
- Strong month end experience, including variance investigation and commentary.
- Proven ability to develop financial models and KPI reporting.
- Understanding of finance systems and BI tools (EPICOR and Power BI desirable).
- Experience supporting nonfinance stakeholders to build financial acumen.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience contextualising financial performance within market/external factors.
- STEM publishing knowledge desirable, or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communicator, able to work effectively with nonfinance colleagues.
- Strong problem solver with sound commercial judgement.
- Skilled at stakeholder management, influencing and coaching.
- Advanced Excel and data visualisation capability.
- Ability to manage detailed work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
