We have an exciting opportunity for service co-ordinator which has arisen at Longview Surgical Services - 30 hours per week Monday to Friday.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to run our busy Minor Surgery department, serving the local community. The candidate will be responsible for the running of the Minor Surgery reception, as well as managing the administration including managing incoming referrals, arranging appointments, scanning and managing case notes, managing follow up's. The candidate will work directly under the supervision of the Surgical Services and ENT clinicians.
Experience with Word and Excel.
Emis experience preferred but not essential.
Main duties of the jobTo act as first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Clinicians and their team. To monitor the appointment schedule of the clinical team. To communicate appointment and admission related information to patients and/or carers. To manage the clinical stock inventory. To support the administrative pathway ensuring patients are seen within the mandatory waiting time target. To produce clinical letters and liaise with external colleagues such as GP surgeries and local Hospitals.

We are a small, friendly team of receptionists/administrators and clinicians, looking for an enthusiastic, confident, flexible, individual to support our team.
Job responsibilitiesAssist the Co-ordinator in providing an efficient service tothe Minor Surgery team. Acting as first point of contact for service users.
Liaising with local GP surgeries and hospitals. Managing incoming referrals,and follow up appointments.
Providing excellent customer service to patients. Administration including managing Emis appointment system, typing of clinical letters, maintaining spreadsheets, scanning documents, sending and receiving emails. Liaising with internal and external colleagues.
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.
- Experience in an NHS Setting
