Kirkby Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a supportive school setting in Kirkby. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
Assist with academic, social and emotional development
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Personal qualities

Has experience working with children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or similar needs)
Is patient, caring and resilient
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Has a proactive and flexible approach to learning support

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
