Line Leader, Manufacturing ​/ Production

The Best Connection Mansfield are seeking an experienced and proactive Line Leader to support daily manufacturing operations within a chemical production environment!

The successful candidate will ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the production line while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role involves hands‑on machine operation, supervision of production staff, and responsibility for meeting output targets.

• Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the production line, ensuring smooth workflow, minimal downtime, and consistent production output.
• Monitor equipment and processes to maintain safe and efficient operation throughout each shift.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise up to 30 production operators to maintain productivity and quality.
• Ensure production activities align with the production plan, procedures, and standards.
• Promote a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety rules and housekeeping standards.
• Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, maintenance, and other departments to support efficient operations and achieve production targets.

• Previous experience in a line‑leading or supervisory role within chemical manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a small production team.
• High attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Flexible and capable of working across rotating shifts when required.

• Experience using SAP or similar production systems would be an advantage.
• Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments.
• Supervisory experience within chemical, adhesives, or related manufacturing industries.

• Monday to Friday; 0600 - 1400 and 1400 - 2200 (rotating weekly)

• £15 per hour
