Production Manager
Personnel Solutions is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations for our client in Kirkby. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of production processes. This role is vital in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating production activities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet organisational goals.
Temp to Perm
Hours -
6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotation
Monday to Friday
15ph rising to 17ph after probation (12 weeks)
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Monitor daily operations to uphold quality standards and safety regulations.
- Organise work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the utilisation of resources including machinery and labour.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with training new team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and the use of hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs or upgrades for machinery.
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and safety incidents for reporting purposes.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment
- Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand machinery operation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to lead teams effectively and liaise with other departments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
