Field Service Technician – Direct Hire Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Field Service Technician to join our After‑Sales Support Team. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role supporting 5‑axis CNC machines in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors. The position involves installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, training, and long‑term service of advanced equipment worldwide.

This is not an entry‑level role — the ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, proven problem‑solving ability, and international travel experience.

• Commission, install, and optimize CNC/PLC‑controlled machines, including 5‑axis equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC and PLC systems, trace alarms, and identify root causes.
• Interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform mechanical component replacement, adjustment, and machine alignment.
• Rebuild cables and connectors:
  Ethernet, Profibus, Harting, and power cables.
• Conduct acceptance testing and ensure machines meet customer specifications.
• Train end‑users on safe and effective machine operation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and service records.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver solutions.

• US Citizen (Mandatory)
• Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred (Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related).
  Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years of field service experience, ideally in aeronautics/advanced manufacturing, commissioning and servicing 5‑axis CNC machines.
• CNC Software: Siemens Sinumerik – Sinumerik Operate
• PLC Software: Siemens TIA Portal v15
• Experience troubleshooting CNC & PLC alarms, tracing root causes.
• Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to rebuild/replace cables and connectors (Ethernet, Profibus, power, Harting).
• Proficient in mechanical disassembly, adjustment, and plug‑and‑play module replacement.
• Experience in 5‑axis machine alignment using Renishaw laser interferometer, laser tracker, granites, or dial indicators.
• C++ programming skills (Visual Studio Code) a strong plus.
• Experience working with SQL Server / HMI databases.
• Valid driver’s license, able to travel internationally.

• Weekdays –
  Shift 1: Mon–Thu, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Weekdays –
  Shift 2: Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Weekend –
  Optional: Fri–Sun, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

$80,000-$110,000 per year
