Overview

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities department based in Kinston, NC. You will perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Your Working Environment:
The Kinston facility specializes in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools; test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Use PLC, CNC along with blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Move and place heavy equipment, real property, and installed property in correct positions following established methods; accomplish all necessary rigging.
  • Obtain and deliver material and equipment to support plant maintenance and repairs; work from diagrams, prints, specifications or verbal orders.
  • Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and order parts required to accomplish tasks (subject to role responsibilities); participate in additional duties as required and receive training and certification for any added work as needed.
Your Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical schematics.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • Workkeys assessment completed or High School Diploma/GED.
  • Preferred: experience with industrial/automation maintenance; experience with CNC or PLC systems; experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Fanuc.

Physical Requirements

Onsite. Vision, hearing, speaking, and other physical requirements as described: ability to see and read documents and screens; hear in conversations and alarms; operate office and production tools and equipment; lifting up to 30 lbs/14 kg; standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, and climbing to access items; use PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and protective gloves; heights up to 40 feet with operation of moving platforms, hydraulic lifts, and forklifts.
