The LPN maintains accountability for providing safe, competent nursing care to assigned patients. Supports care delivery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care tailored to the patient's age.

• Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families.
• Ensure all interactions are friendly, helpful, and courteous, projecting a positive image of the unit and hospital.

• Graduation from an approved School of Licensed Practical Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as an LPN in North Carolina.
• BCLS Certification.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of hospital-approved pharmacology exam with a score of 80 or above.

• Exposure to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and other hazards, with appropriate protective equipment.
• Potential exposure to noxious odors, fumes, dusts, gases, and poor ventilation.
• Stressful work periods and rotating shifts.
• Physical activity from sedentary to heavy, including lifting and moving patients.
• Visual, auditory, and verbal skills necessary for patient care.
