This role offers a vital opportunity to provide comprehensive adult and pediatric care in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent clinical skills, independence, and strong interpersonal abilities. As a key provider, you'll be instrumental in managing a diverse patient population, performing minor procedures, and utilizing advanced electronic medical records systems. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and community health, all while working within a supportive team committed to your professional growth.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in urgent or acute care settings
- Board Certification: BC/NCCPA for PAs, NP Certification for Nurse Practitioners
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to independently manage all patient cases within the urgent care scope
- Strong soft skills for effective communication with patients and staff
- Ability to perform procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, ear irrigation, and other minor interventions
- Must be able to see and treat both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up)
- Comfortable working without supervision; no call requirements
Skills:
- Experience with pediatric patients in urgent care
- Past experience working with EPIC EMR with training experience
- Proven ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently
- Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
Education and Experience:
- Degree from an accredited program in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- At least 1 year of urgent care experience preferred; new grads are not considered
- Must be willing to support multiple locations within a 65-mile radius of residence
- Credentialing required;
Medicare enrollment processed by the employer - Availability to start on or before December 31, 2025
- No travel or lodging reimbursement; mileage only
- Support staff includes Center Manager, Medical Assistants, Patient Service Associates, and supervising physicians (offsite for APPs)
- Shift details to be specified; schedule flexibility required
- Must successfully complete EMR training and onboarding before first solo shift
