The Quality Engineer will support the Airbus A350 program at the Kinston, NC manufacturing site, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Airbus, customer, and industry standards. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Quality to drive first-time quality, resolve nonconformances, and support continuous improvement across composite and metallic aerospace structures.

Key Responsibilities

· Support quality assurance activities for Airbus A350 structures, assemblies, and systems

· Ensure compliance with Airbus quality requirements, AS9100, FAA/EASA regulations, and internal procedures

· Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D)

· Review and support non-conforming material (NCR/MRB) dispositions

· Support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102

· Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits

· Interface with Airbus Customer Quality representatives

· Support manufacturing floor quality activities and inspections

· Analyze quality metrics and drive continuous improvement

· Support supplier quality activities as required

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field

· 2–7+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing

· Experience supporting aircraft structures or assemblies

· Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards

· Experience with NCR/MRB processes

· Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting Airbus programs (A350 preferred)

· Composite manufacturing quality experience

· Knowledge of Airbus quality systems and tools

· FAA/EASA regulatory environment experience

Key Tools & Standards

· AS9100 / AS9102

· Root Cause & Corrective Action methodologies

· SAP or equivalent ERP/MES systems

· Inspection and measurement tools
