Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Kinston, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing essential accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with accuracy and timeliness.

- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Handle payroll and billing functions while adhering to company policies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with the finance team to generate reports and support decision-making.

- Utilize accounting software systems effectively to streamline operations.

- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company standards.

- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.

- Ensure the accuracy of all financial data and documentation. Requirements - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

- Proficiency in using accounting software systems.

- Familiarity with payroll processes and journal entries.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
