Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical) – Ross-shire – Global Renewable Energy / Biogas Manufacturer

Our client is seeking to recruit a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their site in Ross-shire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking, global organisation operating within a highly regulated environment, offering long term.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, reactive, and emergency maintenance activities across site plant and equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and safe operation. You will work within a CMMS driven maintenance environment and play an active role in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in the following areas:

* Planned and reactive mechanical & electrical maintenance

* Motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment

* Electrical fault finding on industrial plant and equipment

* Inspection and testing regimes

* CMMS systems

* Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) and safe systems of work

* Root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities

* Working within regulated environments (COMAH / ATEX / DSEAR or similar – advantageous but not essential)

What You’ll Bring :

* Strong safety-first mindset and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Proactive problem solving approach

* Willingness to take part in an on-call rota

* Mechanical and/or Electrical trade qualification

Qualifications:

Essential:

* Electrical and/or Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent

* Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

* COMPEX certification

* IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)

* HNC in Engineering

* FLT / Telehandler licence
