Role Overview

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation works in tenants’ homes and void properties within a social housing environment. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines, and in line with health and safety regulations, delivering excellent customer service throughout.

Responsibilities
  • Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing leaks and blockages.
  • Replacing taps, ball valves, pipework, traps, cisterns, and radiators.
  • Installing or repairing sinks, baths, showers, toilets, and water heaters.
  • Supporting planned maintenance programmes, such as kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
  • Performing plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied and vacant domestic properties, including fixing leaks and blockages, replacing taps, ball valves, cisterns, and radiators, repairing or installing hot and cold water systems, bath and kitchen plumbing works, carrying out first and second fix plumbing on planned refurbishments.
  • Conducting basic fault‑finding and diagnostics.
  • Ensuring all plumbing work complies with water regulations and relevant standards.
  • Accurately completing job tickets, time sheets, and compliance paperwork.
  • Operating handheld devices for receiving and updating job information.
  • Maintaining van stock levels and keeping tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Delivering high levels of customer care and professionalism in tenants’ homes.
  • Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, property condition issues, or follow‑on works as required.
  • Complying with all health and safety legislation and company policies.
You Will Need
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in domestic plumbing work.
  • Understanding of health and safety in occupied homes.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.
