Scope

• Business Line
  :
  Positioned within the Offshore Wind business line, specifically reporting to the Floating ILA Engineering Manager
  .
• Core Focus
  :
  Responsible for all activities related to turbine design and interfacing with turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in offshore wind.
• Working Model
  : A full-time contractor role (outside IR35) featuring a hybrid working model with flexible hours.
• Location
  :
  Based in Kingston upon Thames
  , UK. Applicants must possess permanent UK right-to-work status
  .

Key Responsibilities

• Aeroelastic Modeling
  :
  Building and verifying aeroelastic models of the turbine and supporting the turbine tower design
  .
• Controller Management
  :
  Managing the development, tuning, and verification checks of the turbine controller
  .
• Technical Analysis
  :
  Providing advanced, non-conventional structural analyses and numerical simulations for the Offshore Wind business unit.
• Stakeholder Liaison
  :
  Coordinating with external contractors regarding turbine models and participating in technical meetings with clients
  .
• Reporting & Monitoring
  :
  Monitoring and verifying the ILA (Integrated Load Analysis) and writing high-quality industry-standard technical reports.

Qualifications

• Education
  : Chartered Engineer status is required; an Aeronautical degree is preferred.
• Experience
  : 10–15 years of design experience in offshore wind, covering both floating and fixed wind substructures.
• Technical Expertise
  :
• In-depth knowledge of turbine design (WTG) and industry codes/standards (including DNV and IEC
  ).
• Proficiency in specialized engineering software such as Orca Flex, Bladed, and Fast
  .
• IT Skills
  :
  Strong proficiency in MS365
  .
