OverviewStudent Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre‑entry to post‑exit. The department has a student‑orientated culture and puts students’ needs at the heart of everything it does.
Key Responsibilities- Co‑lead and deliver a wide and varied programme of activities to students.
- Work with students identified through safeguarding processes, supporting social spaces.
- Develop and run personal development activities across the Enrichment Hub.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of enrichment activities and events to support the student experience.
- Deliver workshops, presentations or tutorials to students.
- Level 3 or above qualification in Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or IAG.
- Experience of working with and delivering activities to young people predominantly 16–18 from a variety of backgrounds.
- Understanding of the needs and issues surrounding these students and the difficulties they face.
- Experience of youth and community work/enrichment and/or targeted assessment, intervention and support.
- Ability to positively engage young people and work with them to improve behaviour, skills and confidence in challenging situations.
- Leadership in planning and delivery of enrichment activities and events.
- Role is primarily based at Kingston College but may require travel to or work from any of the South Thames Colleges Group sites.
- Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Annual leave of 27 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year and an additional 5 days wellbeing leave.
