About the OpportunityThis is a hands-on opportunity to support food safety operations within a fast-paced distribution center environment. As a Food Inspection Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring food safety and health standards are consistently met.
Working closely with site leadership and health and safety partners, you’ll focus on day-to-day inspections, documentation, and compliance activities. Your work will directly support safe food handling practices and contribute to operational continuity across multiple facilities within a large retail distribution network.

Your Responsibilities- You’ll follow and support existing HACCP food safety procedures across distribution center operations.
- You’ll conduct daily inspections of food storage, handling, and temperature controls, such as freezer environments.
- You’ll document non-compliance issues and corrective actions using established checklists and records.
- You’ll maintain accurate food safety documentation and inspection logs.
- You’ll support recall activities when required, including tracking, documentation, and coordination.
- You’ll respond to food safety inquiries from site staff and reinforce established procedures.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in food safety within a distribution center, manufacturing, or retail environment.
- Practical knowledge of HACCP and experience maintaining existing programs.
- Strong documentation, inspection, and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify food safety risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to work independently on-site.
- Steel-toe safety shoes are mandatory.
Certifications in Food Safety or Health and Safety are considered an asset but are not required.
