Location: Brockville
Duties
- Conduct timely psychological/psychodiagnostics evaluations and risk assessments for those who were found not criminally responsible or unfit to stand trial
- Deliver direct and indirect clinical care, including diagnostic assessments and evidence-based individual/group therapy.
- Provide case consultation, training, and clinical supervision to allied health staff on forensic best practices.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based forensic programs.
- Coordinate and validate data collection, dissemination, and workload measurement.
- Participate in research, grant proposals, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Supervise pre-doctoral practicum students, residents, and psychology staff.
- Demonstrate leadership and collaboration through participation in corporate programs and discipline-specific activities.
- Commit to continuous quality improvement, evidence-based interventions, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, College of Psychologists of Ontario guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and anti-discriminatory work environment.
- Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario is mandatory, those in supervised practice will be considered.
- Mandatory Authorized areas of practice in Clinical Psychology and in Forensic Psychology.
- Mandatory Authorized client population: adults.
- Preference for additional Authorized areas of practice in Clinical Neuropsychology, and preference for Authorized client population with youth and seniors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and competency with integration of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices of recovery-oriented treatments, as well as core correctional practices e.g. Risk Need Responsivity Model.
- Demonstrated competency in delivering evidence-based treatment in both individual and group formats.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and to communicate and collaborate in an inter-professional team context are essential.
- Maintain workload measurement and data collection as required and input into the workload measurement system on a regular basis.
- Experience in conducting forensic research and related program evaluation preferred.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
