You as a Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator (Building Group) will:
Be responsible for safety orientation, job site inspections, onsite first aid assessment/treatment and accident/injury reportsMonitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolutionProactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct themReview of Subcontractors' Pre-Construction safety submittalsReview and file Subcontractors' weekly safety submittalsOrganize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First AidEffectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project health and safety statisticsCreate, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first cultureIs this the right role for you?
You have a minimum of 2 years' of safety experience on Institutional, Commercial and Residential Construction Projects.You hold a valid first aid certificate.National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate is an asset .Construction Safety Coordinator Gold Seal Certification or CRSP Designation would be considered an asset.Experience in the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program would be considered an asset.You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.You have CISD Secret clearance or are eligible to obtain it.Ellis Don is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
