Gross Room and Special Procedures Assistant Position Available

Highlands Pathology Consultants is seeking a Gross Room and Special Procedures Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule and is located in our lab in Kingsport, TN.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Preparation of surgical specimens for gross dissection
• Data entry of client information and patient demographics
• Assist Pathologists with specimen preparation during on-site procedures
• Working within electronic medical record systems
• Triage specimens for sending out to reference laboratories
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and adequately stocked work area

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare laboratory setting is preferred
• Detail oriented and dependable
• Possess great work ethic
• Great people skills and willingness to work as a team member
• High school diploma or equivalent

Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with some flexibility required. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including PTO, 401(k) deferral, 401(k) company match, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Attendance Bonus.
