Caregiver - Kingsport

Private Duty Home Services is a locally owned,
nurse-led home care agency serving the Tri-Cities area. We are currently hiring a reliable, compassionate caregiver to support our clients in their homes.

At this time, we are
ideally looking for one caregiver who can meet both of the needs below
, though availability will be discussed during the interview process.

• Morning caregiver for an elderly male client in Johnson City

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  • 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

  • This role includes errands, grocery shopping, and transportation
    , so the caregiver must be able to drive the client as needed
    .

• PRN / On-Call caregiver

  • Willing to help cover last-minute call-outs, illnesses, and urgent needs

  • PRN availability includes occasional short-notice coverage

  • Must be comfortable traveling up to 1 hour for shifts when needed (primarily Rogersville and surrounding areas)

Because this position includes client transportation, candidates must have:

• A valid driver’s license

• A reliable personal vehicle

• Active auto insurance

• Comfort driving clients for errands and appointments when required

• Provide non-medical, in-home care such as companionship, personal care, and light assistance with daily activities
• Transport clients for errands and appointments as outlined in the care plan
• Follow established care plans and schedules
• Communicate clearly with office staff regarding any changes or concerns
• Document care provided during each shift
• Maintain client dignity, safety, and professionalism at all times

• Dependable attendance and clear communication
• Ability to work independently in client homes
• Comfort assisting with errands and transportation
• Ability to remain calm and professional in various care situations
• Willingness to complete background checks and onboarding requirements
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Reliability and communication are essential in this role.
