You’re a hands‑on problem solver who thrives in a dynamic service environment. You communicate clearly, collaborate across teams, and hold yourself to exacting standards. You prefer clean setups, precise measurements, and parts that pass inspection the first time.
Core responsibilities- Produce and inspect detailed parts and tooling from engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal direction.
- Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and VTLs; complete setups and light maintenance/repairs.
- Apply algebra, geometry, and shop math to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and fits.
- Use precision measuring tools—micrometers, vernier calipers, surface gauges, and dial indicators—to verify specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards while meeting quality and throughput goals.
- Trade school/community college credential; or 2 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures plus company, customer, and governmental specifications and regulations.
- Experience with Okuma, Hyundai, Bullard VTL, Fanuc, and comparable platforms.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present information and answer questions from managers and peers.
- Mathematical fluency in proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume; plus practical algebra and geometry.
- Working knowledge of bearing manufacturing/repair processes, cutting fluids, finishes, tolerances, turning, drilling, milling, and abrasive methods.
- Familiarity with steels, nonferrous metals, and common alloys.
- Confidence interpreting complex technical drawings.
- Manual machining proficiency required; military background welcomed.
Overtime pays 2x
, with vacation and holiday hours counting toward overtime eligibility.
- Day Shift (Tues–Fri, 10 hours): $22.00 – $32.00
- 2nd Shift (Mon–Thurs, 10 hours): $26.00 – $35.00
- Weekend Shift (Fri–Mon, 10 hours): $28.00 – $35.00
